چکیده

Environmental pollution from organic contaminants caused by textile dyeing is a real danger. Wastewater the industry has high loads, as well dyes and chemical compounds used in their preparation. Among azo dyes, Congo red (CR) dye widely model experimental studies of wastewater treatment. Heterogeneous photocatalysis consists UV or VIS light irradiation various types water presence solid catalyst; it considered an important technique for purification reuse aqueous effluents. In present study, two novel β-phosphonate-type glycine pendant groups grafted on S-DVB copolymer were decontamination polluted water. They characterized FTIR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, EDX thermogravimetric analysis UV-VIS spectroscopy. By using 25 mg/L initial concentration catalyst 1 g/L 240 min irradiation, efficiency 98.6% case [(diethyl)(phosphono)methylene]glycine styrene-6.7% divinylbenzene (EthylAmAcid material), 83.1% [(dibenzyl)(phosphono)methylene]glycine (BenzylAmAcid respectively, was achieved.

Synthesis and photooxidation of styrene copolymer bearing camphorquinone pendant groups

(±)-10-Methacryloyloxycamphorquinone (MCQ) was synthesized from (±)-10-camphorsulfonic acid either by a known seven-step synthetic route or by a novel, shorter five-step synthetic route. MCQ was copolymerized with styrene (S) and the photochemical behavior of the copolymer MCQ/S was compared with that of a formerly studied copolymer of styrene with monomers containing the benzil (BZ) moiety (an...

Synthesis and Characterisation of Styrene Butadiene Styrene Based Grafted Copolymers for Use in Potential Biomedical Applications

In the annals of history the evolution of the synthetic rubber industry can be traced to the early 1930s where the first emulsion polymerised styrene butadiene rubber known as Buna S was prepared by I. G. Farbenindustrie in Germany. But it was not until the US Government in 1940 established the Rubber Reserve Company, a stockpile of natural rubber and the development of a synthetic rubber progr...

Crosslinked Styrene/divinylbenzene Network Systems

Differences in properties of pure metaand pure para-divinylbenzene crosslinked polystyrene and their sulphonated products have been correlated with probable network structural differences. The para-divinylbenzene copolymerizes more slowly than does the meta isomer to give a crosslinked copolymer which swells less, sulphonates less rapidly, and, when sulphonated, gives an ion exchanger which has...

Synthesis and Characterization of Acrylic Copolymers of 4-Chloromethyl Styrene with Incorporation of Phthalimide Groups and Amination of Resulted Polymers

4-ChloroMethyl Styrene (CMS) was copolymerized with different monomers such as Methyl MethAcrylate (MMA), Methyl Acrylate (MA), 2-EthylHexyl Acrylate (EHA) by free radical polymerization method at 70 ±1°C using a,a'-Azobis(IsoButyroNitrile) (AIBN) as an initiator. The copolymer compositions were obtained using related 1HNMR spectra and the poly...

Synthesis of Polylactide-grafted Dextran and Their Application as Biodegradable Biomedical Materials

Biodegradable, biocompatible polymers are of interest for use in several biomedical and pharmaceutical applications. Based on its biodegradability, biocompatibility, high mechanical strength, and good shaping and molding properties, polylactide (PLA) is frequently utilized as an implantable carrier for drug delivery systems, as well as a surgical repair material. However, its high crystallinity...
